Keeping Our Focus - It's About Real People

You've already met Naana.

And Mary's Sara Juma Club.

Here is a Longido mother with her baby.

And some Kimokouwa primary school children.

These two boys who will be graduating from Kimokouwa Primary School this fall walked all the way to Longido - 14 kilometers - to request sponsorship from TEMBO. To be planning for their future this far in advance is remarkable. They came with a letter stating that they had learned in Mary's Sara Juma Club that every child has a right to education. Their story sure brought tears to my eyes. I turned to Mary, show above with the boys, and said, "See what you are creating?"

A woman learns to write her name for the first time.

Our focus remains steady, continually reminding ourselves why we are doing what we do. It is all about the girls and women, their families, and strengthing the community by everything we do. It is so important to keep putting a "face" on everything we are doing...
